Capcium is a newly created company that has set itself the mission of being a contractual manufacturer of capsules for various drugs and cannabis-based products, mainly gels, liquids or encapsulated powders. The plant was designed to manufacture several separate products simultaneously.

Capcium has acquired an existing building located at 7300 Transcanada in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. The building consisted of an administrative section of 2 and 4 floors, to which a warehouse was annexed. Following the development of the PFT, the optimal solution has been to maintain and renovate the administrative block to accommodate the company’s head office, quality control laboratories and research and development laboratories. The production and warehouse portion was rebuilt after demolishing the existing warehouse. The production area includes a reception and shipping docks, a raw material warehouse and a finished product warehouse (efficient flow management), four encapsulation lines including drying tunnels, capsule processing areas up to the primary and secondary packaging line and a future space that can accommodate 6 additional encapsulation lines.
